Read Romans 6. Count the number of times the word “yield” is written. What does Paul want us to yield? We are to "yield" or "to give way" to the Lord in all aspects of our lives and our body for His use. This word is one of three main points given in Romans 6 by Paul. When you yield to sin, your body becomes and instrument of unrighteousness but conversely when in obedience to the Lord you yield your body to Christ you literally become alive from the dead ways of sin and become an instrument of righteousness for the Glory of God. Could you imagine if we "Christians" fully yielded our lives over to Him what a difference it would make in the world? instead we hold back from God that which is rightfully His in the first place out of our selfish prideful nature.

Lord, I ask that a willing and yielding spirit be spread across our nation today, starting with me as I struggle daily with this Word “yield” but with Your strength I can. In His Name I ask AMEN.
