You hunt pot? I would think a machete would have same effect? 
The 25-06 is a flat shooter too. LOTS of bullet options.

I love 25.06. Its so much fun to shoot and reload for. I suppose if we had larger game here i would dust off the 35 06 but it really only comes out when my son is with me and he needs the smaller caliber. I do a lot small of small game for the stew pot. I leave other kind to them as need help eating. I clearly have no such ailment.
