The young boy brought them with him for his lunch, normally would have been dried, salted and preserved for the day similar to sardines.

When my son was younger we would go fish all the time. I need to get the grandkids out.

Yea that's kinda one of the people that got me into fishing was my grandpa he would buy pairs of fishing poles and then we would try them and the deal was if one of us didn't like we'd give it to the other and also that never happened we always kept the poles when he passed away I was lucky enough to be able to get the ones that I had the mate to
