Breakfast with God, 2024 09 25

Good Morning, Friends
Accusation: Have you ever been accused of being a Christian? Or is it said of you that you praise God on Sunday but will be back to normal on Monday? Sadly, that what the World see’s in too many of us “Christians”. Wouldn’t it be something if “We’ proved them wrong and made Monday-Saturday just as holy as Sunday. I for one look deeply inward here.
According to Ephesians 6:5-8 when you are doing your job, you are not serving your boss or the corporation, you are serving Jesus. There is nothing quite a powerful as a full time Christian. How would you act at work and at home if you truly knew that Jesus was standing or sitting beside you? Would you make that comment? Watch that show? Laugh or tell that joke? Would you?
How should we live as Christian’s at work? God should get the glory for our daily toil; He should be the reason we are where we are and doing what we are doing. I am a firm believer and living proof that the Lord is going to put you where He want you, when He wants you, to do what He wants you to do. It is your choice whether you go willingly or go smelling of fish spit, “Ask Jonah about this metaphor”.
So, how do you live a Christian life at work? Firstly, your boss isn’t paying you to preach, your being paid to do your job. Secondly, are you talking about Jesus when you are supposed to be working? Are you slacking in your performance when you should be giving 100%? Lastly, your boss and co-workers are watching you, is His Light shining through you, if so, then soon they will begin asking you just what it is that make YOU who you are and there is the door of opportunity to share.
As I close, do not forget that EVERY-DAY is a holy day, and EVERY-PLACE is a holy place, and EVERY-JOB is a holy job. Colossians 3: 23-24 Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord, rather than for men knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ you serve. NASB
Father, my prayer this final day of the year is that not only will I but also my friends and family will stand when called and serve You and that we will be worthy of the accusation of being called a Christian as evident by the Light which shines through us for the world to see. May we be sought out and questioned regarding faith that which reside within and be fully prepared to defend with Your Grace that which we know to be true. I pray Lord that each and every day is considered holy in my heart and eyes and that the work that You have begun in me to continue as I grow each day with the Holy Spirit within me. Father, thank you for forgiving my past, my present and my future sins through the blood of Jesus. For it is in His name I ask. AMEN.
