Breakfast with God 20241111

Good Morning Friends,
As I set having my quiet time with God, I am studying Paul’s letter to the Church in Philippi, Chapter 1 verse 27: Only conduct yourselves worthy of the Gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel. And Chapter 2 verses 1-5: Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing form selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interest, but also for the interest of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ. NASB.
Why do we have so much division and strife? Are we not ALL made in the image of God? But yet we don’t identify simply as Christians we have to further divide ourselves into sub-cultures, color of our skin, language, intelligence, geographic region, social status, gender identity, and lastly religious denomination (this is a big one here), all are divisions promulgated by Satan. And why? For what gain?
Take an honest deep dive into your inner-self, what do you see when you look at someone for the first time? Their ethnicity, color of their skin, clothes they wear, language they speak, body shape, clothes they wear. Why? Satan (some would say the media is perhaps the same thing) has driven this spike into the crack to divide us and keeps hammering it in every day, sadly we continue to allow it.
When are we as Christians going to start being Christians and taking the Word of God serious? When are we going to start acting as if we have the heart of Jesus inside us? When are we going to start practicing what Jesus has preached? Jesus did not look at color, or anything else. He looked within with love and compassion for mankind, isn’t it time we did the same? I urge you brothers and sisters, look not at the outward appearance but look inward with a love for ALL just as Jesus did and still does. I can assure you there will be no racial or ethnic strife in Heaven.
Father, our country and our world is being torn apart by division, denomination versus denomination, belief versus belief, class versus class, I ask this morning for healing. Healing of the hurts caused by each of these. I ask for unity, a joining of hearts in your name and in your spirit with the goal of glory and praise for you. Lord open the minds and heart of my fellow Americans and countrymen to see that they are being led astray by the sinister minister of deception, open their eyes before their hearts are hardened to the point of no return. Father, please empower the Holy Spirit to sweep our nation and raise up your Army with one mind and one purpose, to love one another with the attitude of Christ. Father, I ask this in Jesus most holy name. AMEN
