Hebrews 3:11-15 NASB - The Peril of Unbelief

Post by Roby.Evans »

12 Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. 13 But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end, 15 while it is said,

“TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE,
DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS, AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME.”

What I get from this is don’t just talk the talk, you also need to walk the walk. Don’t profess to be Christian then continue to do non Christainlike things.

Eric, we are to ALL encourage our brothers and sisters to remain faithful in the assurance of our Salvation and the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the Only way to the Father and that He died on the cross for OUR sins and paid the ultimate sacrifice for us. Many to include the Jews or Hebrews began to return to the Levitical traditions when the persecution began and “fell away” from the truth when they should have been strengthened by their fellow believers. The hardened heart who denies Christ will be called to recompense in the final days. ALL will have the opportunity to receive Him, and the only unpardonable sin is the sin of denial.
Praying for all who read this that the Lord will speak to you and open your eyes and heart to Him.
