I use both. Depending on what I'm doing. Normally reloading I use digital and when I'm gunsmithing I use mechanical. I do find that they're both equally accurate.

Good point, I am so particular (some say anal) about getting each round as close as possible in tolerance. Oh well, still got all my fingers.

VRAP supplies both, although l prefer dial for personal. Also, for those wanting to have a bush craft kit, l send out a metal 4" dial caliper. Just fine for 223, 9mm, 45acp.

I use both. Just depends.
