Case Prep Tools.

Good Morning,

I am looking into an electric case prep tool, but wondering if the juice is worth the squeeze for someone who only does 50/100 rounds at a time? or is this just being lazy with my time? In an odd sort of way I do enjoy the hand method of case prep but with Carpel Tunnel and other central nervous issues I'm leaning towards the list below:

Hornady Lock n load case prep center (gheeze these are expensive)!
Hornady Lock n load case prep trio, or Hornady Lock n load case prep duo
Hornady Cam lock case trimmer (have one of these already and it is great).

Lyman case prep xpress (this looks like the complete package).
Lyman case prep multi-tool deburring, pocket primer (have one of these) great little tool to have for the onesies-twoosise but can get tiresome after a while.

Thoughts, recommendations.

Go on youtube. Look up the guy Ultimate Reloader. Watch his videos on case prep tools. He gives good and bad of each one. Helped me make decisions on what equipment to standardize to. No, not all one brand.

For buying equipment new, here is what l am standardizing new kits for very new reloaders:

• Press brand(s): RCBS RC, JR2, JR3
• Trickler: ANY NON-LEE. 3d printed as well.
• Scale brand : beam, Dillon, RCBS, Hornady
• Powder throw : Lyman universal
• Powder stand: RCBS or Lyman
• Kinetic hammer: Non-RCBS. Metal shaft
• Tumbler: Frankfurt Arsenal dry
• Tumbler media: 12/20 Walnut or 14/20 Corn
• Caliper: Pittsburg 6" digital. Or 6" dial.
• Case Trimmer: Lyman Universal
• Swager, debur, chamfer: Lyman 8 in one case prep tool
• Primer pocket tool: Lyman
• Primer trays: Dillon metal (5" Round) or 3d printed 125 mm
• Universal Decapper: Lee/RCBS Uni decapper
• Bench mount: Lyman universal. Mounts 30 different presses.
• Literature: Lyman 50 or 51, Hornady, Speer
• Cartridge trays: RCBS PLASTIC or 3d printed.

As to calibres, stick primarily to current-ish military calibres. 223, 308, 30-06, 9mm, 40 s&w, 45acp. Will take any seconds. Will take parts kits for equipment listed above.

I bought a used RCBS cc ASE prep machine used off eBay several years back. I made several modifications and woukd not want to do my prep without it now.

Good morning Roby,
I am wondering what case prep functions that you would like to do with a powered case prep machine.
I use a "Burstfire 2 in 1" and can do most everything but trim with it.

Basic case prep, smoothing, deburring, pocket cleaning ect. And not have do do it by hand tool.
