Breakfast with God 20250330

Good Morning Friends,
Just imagine if you will, you are a resident of Jerusalem and in the crowd lining the road as Jesus is making His entrance on a donkey. You along with many are excited to a point of fanaticism, the mood has reached a fever pitch, the throngs of people are almost suffocating with excitement for the One believed to be The Messiah. There are palm leaves and coats lining and covering the road as He enters. The crowd roars with Hosanna, Hosanna. He was to be your deliverer you thought, not from your Sin but from the Roman oppression and rule, you assumed He would be your earthly king, not your heavenly king because you want Jesus on your terms not His, to deliver "TO" you, not to deliver you. How quickly you turn on Him. Ironically those same ones who were clamoring for Him upon His triumphant entrance would be the same ones berating Pilate and demanding for Him to be crucified just as foretold in the parable in Luke 19 (But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We do not want this man to reign over us).
Sadly, there are many today who fit the role of citizen who hated him we see this with both new and old, the pretend Christians, those who openly profess or come to Jesus for the immediate wealth, health, success or other happiness but are just as quick to turn away from Him when their worldly needs are not met because they only want Jesus on their terms and selfish desires or when confronted with their sin. Jesus is not a get out of jail free card and He is not your magic genie that you can call upon at any time to get you out of trouble, although you CAN call upon Him at any time and He will answer it may not be the answer you want to hear, it may be yes/no/or not now.
Look deep inside yourself, just why do you follow Jesus? Where do you think, it is going to take you? Do you know? Can you justify why you believe He is the Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One, The Son of God, The Way and the Truth, the Light, the One who took sin upon Himself for you. There is going to come a time in the very near future when we are going to be persecuted as in the days of Roman rule for our belief in Jesus, are you prepared to defend your belief? Would you have been one who stood against the Sadducees and Pharisees in Jerusalem even if it meant being ostracized from your family, work, even your church for your belief/conviction? Are you going to stand strong against the world or are you going to deny Him? I urge you to open His Word and get your strength from Him, teach your family and friends, pray for them, and show them the way. Put on the armor of God and go into battle fully prepared with the knowledge of Him.
Just some food for thought as we approach the Easter Celebration time in many churches world-wide, put yourself there as a first-person witness. What would you do, and are you prepared today to do the same?
