Good Morning Friends,

What a blessing today’s scripture reading is for me. Philippians 2:13-15 NKJV, “for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.

We are supposed to present our bodies as a living sacrifice to the glory of God, but do we or do I? Am I a Light unto God for all the world to see (meaning everyone I meet or interact with both in person, or digitally), or is my light kept inside for no one to see? I ask what light is shining from you that others see? Is it a world light or a heavenly light? Would someone be surprised to see you in Heaven because of the words and actions you have shown here on earth, conversely would you be surprised to see someone in Heaven?

As I write and pray this morning, tears cloud my eyes from the light I have displayed to my friends, family, and to the world. A light that burns inside me but sometimes is kept shrouded by the world and that distresses me so. When the Lord gives light to the candle inside you it burns brightly for all to see, when you take your light and use it to light someone else’s candle, your light is not diminished but continues to burn steadily. Do not be afraid to share your light (The Gospel) with others.

Lord, I ask today for my Light to be uncovered and to shine as bright and the brightest stars in heaven and that Your gift that you have given me through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is used for your glory alone. Lord, I ask for forgiveness for keeping your Light hidden and not sharing as I should the Truth that rest in you alone. Father, I ask that I may be found blameless and I have shown your love to all without reservation, in Jesus name I ask. AMEN.
