Stuck Case Removal

The most command way to remove a stuck case is with a kit where you drill and tap the primer pocket/flash hole and use a bolt to pull it out.

Most die manufacturers will remove it for free or a small fee. RCBS customer support has been very helpful for me for other issues.

The last is hydraulic. Where you pump grease or oil into the die and push the case out.

Luckily in 35 years of reloading I’ve never (yet) had a stuck case, I’ve come very close to but not yet. Remember LUBERCATION is your friend.

Does anyone have any other recommendations.

Put die and stuck casing in freezer. Metals will shrink away from each other. Pull casing out.

Good point, The brass should shrink faster since there is less mass.

Yes. I have tried an hour, but find that overnight works better.

When I install press in ball joints I will put them in the freezer for a couple of hours.
