Good morning, as I was studying in The Gospel of Mark 1:21-28 a passage jumped off the page! Verse 23 “Now there was a man in their Synagogue with an unclean spirit”.

This puzzled me, why would a man with an unclean spirit be in the Synagogue?, and why would this be included in the Gospel?

I believe this is here for the Church (Local Gatherings) to see that there are people, perhaps Preachers/Teachers/Deacons/Leaders/etc., within our churches who are not what they claim to be, but are demon possessed and are hiding within the community sowing the seeds of false religion or doctrine. Planting half truths or self serving ideologies in order to skirt the Truth of Jesus The Christ, the Son of God.

Look around and see the false teachings of those in the pulpit and classrooms I implore you to KNOW your bible, have it in your hand, and to question however subtle it may be slight differences or variations that someone is saying or doing. If it ain’t straight out of the bible then do as Jesus did and “Rebuke him”, call him out for the false doctrine or teachings.

I have known several deacons/elders that are God-fearing on Sunday but out on road doing construction you wouldnt know.

Josh, i agree. I have experienced the same, with folks only “Christians” on Sunday or when convenient to them. I am a firm believer in walking the walk and talking the talk daily. Sadly it has been said that many christians are the worse witnesses for Christ due to their hypocrisy.

I was know as a goody two shoes that didnt drink, carouse or participate in debauchery. More often than not, l was alone in a dual-occupant room as room mate was out until way early...
