Good morning friends,
As I was studying in The Gospel of Luke 17:12-16 where Jesus healed the 10 lepers, of these only one returned and thanked Him. This brought to mind the following statement: unexpressed gratitude is ingratitude. Dwell on that a moment.
Thinking about when your sports team scores or causes the other team to make a mistake everyone jumps and gets excited, high-fives other folks, but when someone comes forward in church and accepts Christ as Savior “which is a score/win for Jesus” we don’t act the same way! Why not? Satan just got knocked out in the ring, fumbled and we ran it back for winning score, grand slam in the bottom of the 9th to win!!! What?
Could you imagine if we got as excited for a new Christian as we did for what really does not matter?
Are we displaying ingratitude to Jesus just as 9 of the 10 lepers did when we fail to give Him the “High-Five” of praise and thankfulness.
I’m not pointing fingers but looking introspectively at myself here.
Father, asking that your priorities be my priorities, and that my excitement be for your glory and not man’s benefit. Search my heart and cleanse me from the inside out Lord and may I recognize and give you the thanks for every blessing and display it outwardly for your glory always.
