Good morning friends.

Prayer time: Are you just too busy to pray? Is that the excuse you give yourself and God? What is taking up so much of your daily time that you can’t spend some time talking with God? Is it social media, TV, Internet, Music, Games, 3D Printing, Reloading, pure laziness? Skipping prayer time one morning or day leads to a terrible habit of, “I’ll pray tomorrow, or I’ll do it later” mentality when in actuality you don’t do it later or tomorrow. Then it gets to eating at you, and you continue not praying and slide even further away from conversations with God. Satan whispers in your ear that God does not hear you anyway, you’re not good enough for Him to listen to your prayers, etc. All lies; God does want to hear from you. He desires a relationship with you and loves to have a personal conversation with you.

The following verses speak specifically on our faith growing in the Lord by our daily actions, i.e. prayer time and reading/studying His Word.
2 Peter 1:5-10 NKJV: But also, for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things, is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things, you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Father: my prayer this morning is that my friends and I will not make excuses for our disobedience to Your commands by placing other gods before You, whether it be money, or work or status, etc., anything we place ahead of You Lord. Let us always come to You with open heart and ears listening for the Holy Spirt to speak to us as You have said many time in Your Word, “Let those who have ears hear”. I pray that our ears are open to hear, and our mouths speak prayers and our hearts are not disobedient to Your Word. Father strengthen our hearts and minds that we may give to You PRAISE and GLORY in ALL things. Father in Jesus Christ Most Holy Name I ask. AMEN
