Pumpkins

As Fall has arrived and we are seeing pumpkins all along the houses and stores it makes me think of a old story I heard a Pastor tell.
Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God picks you out, lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He then opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff-- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face, and He puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.
So when you see that Pumpkin on the porch just think about God's Grace and how His light shines through you. Aren't you glad you are Gods little Pumpkin today?
