1st Responders Church.

Post by Roby.evans »

I think every church should have a 1st Responders Ministry, not for firefighters and lawmen, etc., but for those who need the church most, those who are hurting and lost, those who have been in jail or rehab or have children, grandchildren or family members who are not walking with God and they may feel ashamed to come to church because of the “looks they get, or the whispers behind their back”, the one place where THEY should feel the most loved and accepted is the one place that scares them the most.

Help me to change our church’s into being what Jesus called us to be, open the door to the Prodigal son or daughter, welcome them home with THE LOVE of Christ. Just imagine the Saul’s / Paul’s we are missing out on by our hypocrisy.

Amen to that I think this is alot of the reason alot of people have stopped going to churches in general I myself do believe but do not attend reguchurch services anywhere currently due to haven't found one i like well enough to call home like you have mentioned here I do talk to God and try my best to do what's right but it's hard to find a church that doesn't judge I had a minister that used to be at the church I went to and I did attend consistently till he had some health issues and stepped down the guy that replaced him I went and listened to but just couldn't get in the groove I once was he was the same and the messages weren't either made it very hard to go and I eventually just said I'm not going back I know he was judged upon taking the position but that's wasn't why I quit going the atmosphere changed and it went from a smaller church to what I would almost call like a national chain church and it lost its local feel and connection I feel like when you go and don't hardly know anyone anymore

Good evening, I understand your predicament in the search for a church home, that plagues the majority of us, especially in the dynamics facing churches today and the frequency of pastors moving on to bigger and not necessarily better churches, leaving behind a hole in the congregation.
I do pray that you will find a church home that will love you with a Christ Centered Love and you will become a family member.
