Breakfast with God 20250309

Post by Roby.evans »

Good Morning Friends,

Because God is Holy, He must judge all that is unholy, or He would no longer be Holy. Judgment is a necessary action in response to disobedience of God’s gift of grace and His ultimate act as a Father by sending His son to the cross as atonement for our Sins. God’s judgment will be just and fair in accordance to truth, (Romans 2:2). As parents do we allow our children to do whatever they want with no repercussions? Do we try and guide our children with fair and loving hands? Do we try and teach them right from wrong. Do we hold our children accountable for their actions? We are made in the image of God and just as we hold our children accountable (if we taught them in the beginning), God WILL hold us accountable.

Throughout the bible there are instance where God has held His people in judgment. He held Adam and Eve, Satan or Lucifer and his Fallen Angels (2 Peter 2:4; Jude 6). He held the people of Noah’s time (Genesis 6), the people at the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11). Many time He judged the Tribes of Israel by sending in or allowing nations to conquer them and take the captive as slaves. Let’s not forget God’s judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah either. According to Romans 1:8 For the Wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. But…. This is not the Final Judgment.
Matthew 16:27, Jesus said, “For the Son of Man is going to come in the Glory of His Father with His Angels and will then repay every man according to his deeds.” Lack of the knowledge of God will be no excuse however, those who have heard and if you have a greater knowledge will be held to a higher standard and even a greater judgment (Matthew 11:24). The Apostle Paul proclaims, we shall all one day stand before the judgment seat of God and held accountable for our actions and deeds be it good or bad and rewarded accordingly. Now this does not mean we are saved by our works or deeds as that is a by-product of our Walk with Christ. As Christ walked, we too should. Just as Jesus taught in the Parables which are earthy stories with a heavenly meaning, of the Talents (Matthew 25), and of Money (Luke 19), what are you doing with the Gifts God have given you? Are you burying it, or are you investing it in the Kingdom of God?

I for one am trying to use my gifts for His Glory, are you? Have you found your gift or your talent (see parable of Talent/Money referred to above) and apply this to yourself not as physical currency but in a literal sense. Are you using His Gift that He entrusted you with or are you keeping it to yourself? I encourage you to store up treasure in Heaven by seeking your gift through prayer and searching scripture for where He wants to use you, we are ALL useful in His Army of warriors, none is least or greatest in His eyes, all have a mission and are bound by the Great Commission (Matthew 28).

Father, I thank you this morning for the gifts you have given to me, and I pray that I may use my gifts for your glory and praise. I pray that when I cross that river and stand on the shores of Heaven, I am found to be a true and faithful servant and that I have used what you have so graciously given to me in a way that is pleasing to you. Father, I pray that my friends and family will seek the gifts you have given them and put them to good use in your name. Father, as this world turns darker each and every day, I pray that we may be the light to the world letting your glory shine through us lighting the path to You. I ask these in CHRIST NAME. AMEN.
In His Service,
Philippians 4:13

Thank you, the Lord uses tools of many different ways. I pray that I am one as well, for His Glory only.
