Breakfast with God 2025 03 14

Post by Roby.evans »

Good Morning Friends,

As a tiring week reaches its mid-point I have struggled with actions and reactions to comments both made and heard in relation to someone who is as they say, “walking the walk and talking the talk”. As Christians we and I am included in this are at the pinnacle of visual and verbal influence to those around us especially those who may be on the fence with their Christian faith, family, friends, co-workers, church members, and even our bible study class. Our collective and personal “walk and talk” can either be a help or a hindrance to those with whom we interact. Think back on your week, WHO have you had an interaction with this week that may or may not have seen CHRIST in YOU. Are you and have you been a reflection of CHRIST in everything you have done, every conversation, every business deal, every traffic jam, every line at the grocery store, every child, every elderly person, worldly or spiritual, every rich/poor/powerful/weak person that you may have come across or had interaction with in a primary, secondary, tertiary level. Do those on the periphery who you did not interact personally but see and hear you from a distance KOW you are a CHRISTIAN? Or do they scoff and shake their head because you have just pushed them over the fence AWAY from God because you are a so-called Christian but not reflecting Jesus.

As I pray and study this morning from the Book of Hebrews 12: 12-13 Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed. NASB. I reflect deeply on this passage about how am I strengthening the weak and feeble, am I? Am I doing everything I can to make sure that I am staying in my lane (being an example of Christ), am I not venturing too far to the left or right limits. As I am running in the rat race of life am I “trying to win the race” or am I encouraging others who are running with me to finish strongly and receive the same award together? If I know of someone who is metaphorically “the limb which is lame” someone who is a weak or struggling Christian who may be easily distracted or discouraged am I reaching out to them to provide strength but am I also leading them in the right direction with dedicated decisions. The Prophet Elijah spoke to those on the fence about God about making a decision, and I believe that we all must make this same decision you are either for or against God there is no in-between with God. 1 Kings 18:21 Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people did not answer him a word. NASB. Jesus even said in Matthew 12: 30 He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters. NASB and lastly, we are warned in Revelation 3: 15-16 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. NASB.

With all this said where are you in your walk with Christ, are you for or against, are you lukewarm or scalding hot for Christ, are you straddling the fence or know someone who is? If you need answers or have questions/doubts please reach out to someone be it a pastor, teacher, or Jesus Himself through prayer and scripture, or even to me I will try to help you, please don’t wait or hesitate. Unwillingness to make a decision is a decision in itself, there is no in-between Christianity, and you cannot love God and love the world. Let us all set the standard and lead by the example and show the WORLD who and what we are every minute of every day in everything we say and do. Let us keep our feet on the narrow path that leads to Him and show the way to others who may not have a lamp onto their feet.
