Breakfast with God,

Good Morning, Friends

As I set here with my bible in one hand and coffee in the other reflecting on the passage I have been studying and praying about from the Prophet Habakkuk, I find eerie similarity to the state of affairs we now face as a nation and as a people.

Habakkuk 2:12 “Woe to him who builds a town with bloodshed, Who establishes a city by iniquity!” I ask, Are we this nation? Is this a picture of what our country has torn down what was once built but has been replaced with, one built with bloodshed and iniquity? I read yesterday the Philadelphia “The City of Brotherly Love” just surpassed 500 homicides for the year! This is just a drop in the bucket nationwide, other major and minor cities are eclipsing homicide rates at an alarming level as well i.e. Chicago and Louisville. Sadly, this list is endless in America.

However, as I look around at the picture being painted before us Habakkuk 3:17-19 gives us the blessed assurance that: Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor the fruit be on the vines, though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls-Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.

Take heed my friends, place your trust in Him and receive your courage and strength to endure ALL things through His power. We live in a land of milk and honey, rich with every resource, opportunity, and freedom so much that the sinister minister of deceit Satan is temping many with, just as he promised Jesus with from the mountain top if only, He would worship him, he, Satan has lured many into his fold with these promises. Flee from him, return to God and place your trust in Him and him alone.

Father, lifting up praise of thankfulness for the many blessings You have shown to our nation and our people, I ask this morning for strength, for shielding, forgiveness for our nation and our people. A wicked and perverse generation are we and deserving of Your vengeance just as Sodom and Ghomorrah. Spare us Oh Lord and raise up a mighty warrior in me and in others, to go forth as a Soldiers in the Army of the Lord fully outfitted with Your Word to conquer just as You did with so many throughout the bible like Joshua, Gideon, Saul/Paul and so many others. Lord, strengthen our backbones so that we may stand straight in the knowledge of Your Glory and not bend to the world but to proclaim you from the rooftops and the mountain peaks. Father I ask these in Jesus most Holy Name. AMEN
