Good Morning Friends.

This morning, I was studying in John 11 about when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead and I began to wonder “why did the Holy Spirt make this point so important to include”, because everything in the Bible is there for a reason.

I do believe that Lazarus is a picture of US without Christ in our lives. When Jesus calls us and says, “Take away the Stone” He is taking away the very thing that is blocking our hearts from Him, the Stone is Sin, the Stone is Satan. Now stay with me here. Just as Lazarus was bound hand and foot in graveclothes so are, we without Christ in our lives. Do you think that when Lazarus was unwrapped, bathed, cleaned from head to toe, and dressed in a new fresh garment that he kept any of those old, filthy, sinful graveclothes he was buried in or did he put them behind him completely? Just as when Christ calls us, and rolls away the stone from our hearts, we should rid ourselves of the graveclothes that kept us in Satan’s tomb. We are to become new people, we are to become Christians, not perfect but not going back and wrapping ourselves in those graveclothes of Sin whatever it may be.

Father, today I pray for the stone to be rolled away from the hearts of those who are wrapped in the graveclothes of sin (myself included), and that they are revived from the dead to the life in Christ being washed for Your Glory. Our country and its people are hurting and dying without You, their stone is to heavy to remove by themselves, only You Lord can call to them in a loud voice “Come Forth” and the stone will be rolled away and what a glorious day that will be. In Christ most Holy name I ask fro the Stone to be rolled away. AMEN
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” John 11:26.
