Tax Stamp
For the ATF Form 1 aka, SBR tax stamp you will need the Manufacture of the lower, Ser#, barrel length, overall length, and $200. Your picture and fingerprints will need to be taken. Mine were done on site. If you work with your hands it takes a lot longer for the fingerprints to be done electronically. Took over an hour to do mine. The dealer charged me $100. Everything was done electronically. Took a little over 5 working days to get them approved form back.

FYI. The way it was explained to me if you do a SBR and Suppressor at the same time the gun shop only charged 1 processing fee. But you still have to pay for both Tax stamps.

If you use a lanolin-based salve every night, and wear cotton gloves to bed, your finger prints will be clearer and easier to do electronic scans. Also drink a gallon of water MINIMUM every day for a week prior to printing. Printed 1st try on 8 fingers, second try on remaining two.

Good info, I didn’t really know what I was getting into. Hydration would’ve helped.

The easiest way I’ve found is to go to a silencershop.com authorized retailer. They shouldn’t charge you a fee for getting fingerprints done as silencershop gives them a kickback for every sale they make. You can also file your form 1 through silencershop and it makes the processes insanely easy.
