Breakfast with God 20250606

Post by Roby.evans »

Good Morning Friends,

You may have heard it said many times in relation to your Christian life the phrase, “Walk the walk and talk the talk”, but do you really understand the WHAT this means? In the Greek, Peripateõ, refers specifically to a forward motion in life, a habitual action leading in a specific direction i.e. going to where The Lord is leading. Emperipateo on the other hand refers to walking in i.e. Walk in the Spirit, while Orthopodeo means to walk uprightly. For instance, 210 times throughout Scripture WALK and even WALK IN HIS WAYS, is used. In the NASB, Psalm 86:11 Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name. 1 Thessalonians 4:1 Finally then, brethren, we request and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction as to how you ought to walk and please God (just as you actually do walk), that you excel still more.

Friends, during my walk through life I have taken many paths, some paths I am not particularly proud of as I strayed from His path He set forth before me on many occasions only to have that path blocked and redirected to the right path, insert GPS/SIRI voice here, “Recalculating”, I thank God for redirecting me back onto the straight and narrow path to Him. I have asked Him on many occasions to use me as He sees fit and that I may shine His light on the path of others through illumination of my own missteps in life and the thorny paths that I took. Some of us learn the easy way and some of us have to be “taken behind the woodshed” to be set straight. I for one have a well-worn trail to the woodshed. Thankfully, He has never given up on me and He won’t give up on you either.

So I ask, are you walking the path the Lord as set before you or are you wondering around lost and without a GPS (God Path System) to guide you? Hey, that’s good…! I may have just coined a new phrase, or at least I think I have. If you are in need of a GPS it is called The Word of God and contains 66 books beginning with Genesis and ending in Revelation. I urge you to open it and find your path. If you need help or have questions, please reach out to a trustworthy Pastor/Preacher/Teacher/Deacon of a bible believing church or even to me if and we will try and guide your path to Him.

Father, I thank you this morning and every morning for the opportunity to freely visit with You and reap the benefits of Your Word, Promises and Corrections to me. I ask that my path be forever lit with Your Glorious Light keeping me moving in the direction to You. I also ask that my path be lit for others to follow as I blaze a trail to through this World until Your revelatory return or I am called home to You. It is in Jesus Most Holy Name I ask. AMEN.
In His Service,
Philippians 4:13
