Breakfast with God (follow up) to yesterday

Post by Roby.evans »

Good Morning Friends;

A thought to ponder on this day the Lord has given us. In the Book of Acts, specifically verse 1:15 Peter and the other Apostles along with a gathering of about 120 others were gathered together (Day of Pentecost). Now these 120 folks could be representative of, or a picture of, many so called small churches that permeate our vast countryside with a congregation of similar amounts. Just think about your own church congregation, how many are in your pews, or on your books? Of those 120 are 10% (12) doing the lion's share of the churches mission? let that think in a minute. Imagine if you will, that we (the 120) were to do what the 120+12 Apostles did in the early stages of the church age. What could we accomplish collectively?

Jesus spoke the parable of the Mustard Seed (Matthew 13) and how small it was but how it could grow into a large tree and spread its branches and strong enough to support many, is He using this Parable to let us, (the 120) see that even though our congregation may be small that WE can be useful for His Kingdom?

Just a random thought that came from my time with the Lord this morning. What if every community across our great nation had their own 120?
In His Service,
Philippians 4:13
